First, they had a coupon in the mail that advertised $14.95 Smog Check. In tiny letters they say "Plus $8.25 for State Cert & EFT." That comes to a total of $23.20. They told me that my charge was going to be $26.20. I told him it is $26.20 is not in the advertisement. I read it and I read the fine print carefully. Nowhere in the fine print did it mention an extra $3.00. This is clearly a deceptive practice. The guy said, " Well you don't have to get it done if you don't want to..." That is clearly a disregard to Honesty, Service, and Value. A slogan which they write in their flyer.
They have a BBB accredited plaque in their shop which is deceptive. I would not doubt that they use deceptive practices to have people come in and fail them on unrelated issues like I was. I just put new parts in my muffler in a 03 car and they still failed me on unrelated exhaust quality issues
