DO NOT TRUST THEM
|
Couple of weeks ago I took my 1999 Chrysler Cirrus to them for repair, they said the fuel pump needed to be replaced. They've charged me just shy of $500 for part and labor. They charged me $290 for the fuel pump. I've asked Pete (right hand man of David Schulz the owner) is this your best price you can give me on the pump? He said: "the fuel pump is an expensive part, believe me we barely make any profit on parts." When I went home I sat down to the computer and checked a couple of web sites to see if the fuel pump is really that expensive for a Chrysler. Well, the cheapest one I've found online was $85 with free shipping and the most expensive was $145 with free overnight shipping. (I even found one on Amazon for $120 plus $10 shipping. Still cheaper then $290) I also called Sheflone's local supplier Carquest Autopart, quoted them the part number and they said the fuel pump for my car costs $191.75 AND, after I've asked, they also told me if a shop buys from them the shop receives a 10% discount which takes the price down for Sheflones to $172.75 My question is then, why did Sheflones charge me $290 for the pump? They've made a whopping $120 profit on the part alone and then Pete can look into my eyes and tells me they barely make any profit on parts???? I wouldn't call $120 profit on a $172 item a "barely any profit". SHAME ON SHEFLONES!!! SHAME ON DAVID THE OWNER AND SHAME ON PETE THEY BOTH RIPPED ME OFF BIG TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, and by the way, they've also charged me $40 to hook up my car to their computer. Other shops don't charge you for it or better said they waive the charge if you leave your car there for repair. Again, SHAME ON YOU SHEFLONES! You used to be honest now all you do is just go for the money!! Ps: I've left 4 messages on Sheflone's voice mail asking them for an explanation, they never returned my call.
