Useless, Late & Expensive

Called to get service on a Bosch dishwasher that was not draining properly. Explained problem over the phone to dispatcher who insisted service tech must check out machine to diagnose. Service call was $50, but deductible from fix, so sounded reasonable. Guy shows up, walks to dishwasher, opens it and writes down the serial number. Says "You need a new pump." Don't you want to test it? "No. When it doesn't drain right, it's the pump." Why didn't the dispatcher tell me that on the phone? "The company wants the service call, I guess." Really?! "Yeah. I'll call you tomorrow after 11:00 to tell you how much for the part." One week later and no call. So I call them. Technician says: "I tried to call you 2-3 days ago, but couldn't get through." That's funny, no numbers showed on my cell. "It's $350 parts and labor. Do you want to argue or fix the dishwasher?" Decided to go elsewhere.
