Ladies and Gentlemen, save your money.

When I first signed up with Dreamhost, I left my old host of Host Monster because of Dreamhost's "unlimited CPU usuage". Everything truely did seem to be a "Dream" at that point and time. A weekly bandwidth and space allowance that not many other hosting companies offer and a $90 discount coupon... you could get from anyone! I thought I would be with this company for the rest of my internet days.

However, as all of you other Dreamhost users may very well know, there came a time when my sites would be slow, down for a few minutes or even down for a few hours!? Not saying I do, but how can some of you buisness men and women promote your services with a hosting company that can't even provide 80% uptime? There's ALWAYS a problem, almost twice a week.. and you'd think with $7+ a month from thousands... perhaps millions of customers, that would be enough to fund for better servers and a stable, reliable connection.

All Dreamhost cares about is making that quick dollar. I don't even want to begin a review on their support... as a matter of fact, yes I do. Their support is HORRIBLE! I used to respect that they would at least try but lately, their interest in seeing me fix my problems is 0%. They will only support you if it's something server side... anything else, they will tell you you're on your own. How can you claim you have "Customer Support" yet when the "customer" has to address major problems or a general question, you send them off?

An incident happened a few weeks ago where, yet another Dreamhost support ticket went wasted. I needed help installing a service that thousands of other Dreamhost users look to install (ffmpeg). I got the same answer I've got dozens of times before, "We don't support that" and a link to their Wiki (which isn't that useful). OK, understandable but when a customer ask if you can point them in the right directions, at least tell the customer where he can go and get help!

That's what you're looking at when it comes to Dreamhost support, a horrible experience and a waste of time. I've been with 2 other host before dreamhost and I must say, for smaller bait.. they sure knew how to treat customers. Maybe that's why you guys are losing alot of customers huh? CAUSE YOUR SUPPORT AND SERVICE IS GARBAGE! Maybe if you stopped worrying about stupid medals like your "Green House Effect" and put more time into developing better consumer/retailor realtions and services, I wouldn't be writing this.

So let's wrap this up folks.. don't go with "Dreamhost" because you'll only be left with a nightmare. Their support sucks and so does their service. They just try to reel you in with a $90 coupon and a weekly space/bandwidth allowance. Oh yeah, and FYI.. don't try to express your feelings toward their service or staff (even though they're garbage) because they'll end up cancelling your account... even if it's your opinion. Let's see if they refund me my money AND donation money (which is around $150). If not, expect to hear more about that.... matter of fact, expect to hear more from me anyways.
