Review 9/19/2007
I purchased a vehicle from Lomas Auto Mall in May of 2006. When I bought the vehicle it seemed in good condition. The Air Bag light was on and the saleman said it was a blown fuse and that they would fix it before I picked up the car. When I picked up my vehicle the Air Bag light was still on and I mentioned it to the guys and they told me that they would replace the fuse. So I waited and they looked at my vehicle and told me that it wasn't the fuse. The sales man who sold the car to be had quit the day before and they said that he never put anything in my contract stating that they would fix it.
The brakes started to squeak badly so I had my pads changed with a higher grade brake pad and when my husband pulled the tires off we noticed that the tires in the center tread had gashes in them. I took the car back and they told me that if I took it to a tire place off of Zuni & Louisiana they would put new but used tires on it for me at a cheap price. But I would have to pay out of pocket for that. I only had the car for a week when I noticed the problem with the tires. I told them that I had a warranty on the car and that we needed to fix the problem with the Air Bag light being on and also that the horn did not work.
I tried to take the car back and they told me that I signed a contract that was binding and that nothing could be done. I replaced the tires because I was on the verge of a blow out one morning. There was a huge bump on my drivers side tire and my car was shaking when I was on the freeway. So I had no choice but to change the tires on the car and paid almost $500.00 for new tires.
I noticed that there was a small oil leak coming from the oil pan. I took the car back and asked them about it and was told that, "Its a used car your bound to have leaks coming from somewhere." I asked if I could get it fixed since it was still under warranty but they told me that the oil leak didn't fall under their warranty standards.
In October 2006 I was parked and another car backed onto the hood of my car. Now if I had a horn I could have been able to warn the vehicle that I was behind them. Then in December of 2006 I was on the freeway and hit another vehicle doing 40mph. When I hit I thought that the air bags would have deployed but they didn't.
The guys there seemed nice at first but when I needed things to be fixed and resolved on my car I hit a brick wall. The salesman who sold the car to me started calling me after to make sure I was happy with the car except he quit working for Lomas Auto Mall and could do nothing. He told me who to go and talk to who could possibly get things done for me but like I said I didn't get anything accomplished.
