I called on a Friday to make an appointment to have my bungalow's carpet cleaned. I live at the back of a 1/2 acre lot with two other residents. So I am far from the street and that can cause problems for some vendors to provide me service.
When I called The Carpet Care I tried to explain this. The person I was speaking to cut me off and said don't worry about that because the driver of the vendor would call me before they came. The appointment was made for Monday between 11 AM and 1 PM.
The driver showed up on time and said he couldn't reach my bungalow to clean it from the street and asked if he could drive up a driveway that would bring his van much closer to my residence and he could do the job.
I told him sure. Then he said the driveway was too narrow--I found that hard to believe as a full size van can drive up the driveway. Plus he didn't even try to see if his van would fit.
I tried several times to explain to him a side entrance but he wouldn't let me explain he just kept talking over him and saying he driveway was too narrow. Finally he stopped talking and I told him that there was another way he could possibly get access. He became rude with his speech. He then offered to come back the next day with a portable cleaner. Under the circumstances I told him no, given what had just happen and because I was still physically sore from moving furniture to make it easier to clean the carpet. I was sore because I am a disabled senior citizen.
I filed a complaint on their website explaining the above and gave my email and telephone number and told them I would be complaining to you. They never responded to my complaint to them.
