I purchased a Gateway in September 2010. I first began experiencing problems about one month later. The computer would just die--no picture on the monitor and could not wake it up. So, I ended up sending it back three times over the next several months. They could never find the problem and they would not replace it--just send the same one back to me. Then I decided it might be something else. I bought a new monitor--same problem. Then a new cable--VGA this time--same problem. After all this time and money, I was not going to send it back a 4th time. So I bought a new computer, an HP, and took this piece of junk to Staples for recycling. Then I reported them to the Better Business Bureau. Within 3 days, I had a phone call from their customer service department. If I had not gotten rid of the computer, they would have replaced it! But of course no one told me that before when I was shipping this thing back and forth to Texas! I am just so very angry! I would never, ever buy anything made by Gateway! I just want to tell my story wherever I can so that as many people as possible will see it!
