Not a good experience

Workmanship is questionable.
Five problems in one work order!
Bulldog charged $1834.71 to fix a broken fuel pump.
Before I signed the Work Order I asked Chris how he charged for hours and if parts were marked up. Chris said hours were book, a shop standard, and parts were nominally marked up 10-20%.
Bulldog also charged extra for use of a credit card, and 10 gallons of gas went missing from my tank. And the repair was faulty, leaking gas, which cost another $317.42.
Once home I visited 2 Ford Dealers and asked about book hours, cost of parts and standard procedures. I was told that according to the book I was overbilled for 2 hours and that the retail price including dealer markup for a fuel pump was $504. Bulldog charged $1000.26.
I checked with Visa and was told that adding a 5% fee to use a credit card is illegal in California.
Dealers also told me that standard procedure when removing gas from a tank was to save and replace, and if dirty to merely filter. One mechanic said, “Strain it through a rag.”
My bad luck was to breakdown when the Ford Dealer was closed. I got to spend 3 days in Beautiful Blythe, friendly people, drank coffee and ate donuts, but I've rolled snake eyes in Vegas for a lot less.
