I told to bring my car in to fix after I specially said I could not afford it unless I can make payment arrangement. I had another place quoted a lot less. If I had the money, I would have gone to the less expensive place. I went to Tony,the representative after he called several times and insisted I could make payment, though I was surprised. It was the only reason I took my car back to fix. He and intentionally lie to me and taken advantage of my desperation. I don't believe that Steve, the owner did not know about it. I doubt it.
I was told my car was ready and I can come and pick up my car. On the day to pick up my car, Tony accepted that I could make the first payment of 500.00, after I allowed him to debited the amount from my bank account, he called back to said that the owner, Steve said that I cannot have the car until its paid in full. He knowingly lies to me and pretty much held me hostage in a sense. I had to borrow money immediately to pay. I was very upset and my job was affected and had to leave work for a full day to take care of the problem. I was fortunate to have friends that loan me the money to get my car back.
I truly believe he knew what he was doing, he knew that I was desperate and he took advantage of me and as a woman. I doubt that he would have done this to any man. Of course he denied everything later on and that it was a misunderstanding-but I call him out on it. he had nothing to say except that he was sorry. He knew what he did was wrong. This people should not be in business if I have my way. I believe their kindness and I allowed them to take advantage of me,I may be foolish but it's not a crime to be stupid but what they did was very wrong and mean and unforgivable.
