SCAM *****THEY WILL STEAL YOUR DEPOSIT AND OVER BILL YOU *****BAD CRIMINALS
I rented an RV from this company and it is an ongoing nightmare. You will find may reviews similar to my experience by doing a simple search. The Better Business Bureau has had many complaints on them. STOP DO NOT RENT FROM THEM NO MATTER HOW MUCH OF A BIND YOU ARE IN.

I needed an RV for a trip my family had booked and they provided me with a rental. The documentation and Insurance binder was similar to what I have used with other reputable companies in the past. I felt confident.

When I picked up the RV it was filthy including MOLD in the refrigerator and the bathroom was disgusting. I had made several arrangements for my trip including non-refundable deposits elsewhere. I immediately got on the phone with Gloria, Michelle (the owner), and they assured me there were no other RVs available but that they would refund me my money if I wanted to go ahead and use the RV. I had texted them several photos of the RV and they seemed genuinely mortified and assured me they would take care of me.

I left a day late for my trip after cleaning the motorhome intensely for a full day. I offered Michelle and Gloria the opportunity to come and view the motorhomes condition but they declined and again stated a refund was due.

As soon as the trip was underway both the generator and waterpump began to fail. The heater was not working either. I called the RV owner and 123RV. The owner was unsure of what was causing the problems. I came home early and the owner phoned me after going through the RV. The owner confirmed it was not working properly and apologized for my experience.

I contacted Gloria and Michelle and they said they would not refund my rental fees or my deposit. My deposit was $500.00 and they are trying to pocket it saying that I 'may have been the cause of the generator and waterpump failure.' They further are saying the awning on the RV is torn and I will be billed to replace it. This is absurd considering I never touched it.

These guys operate a SCAM. Do not rent from them or you will be in the same boat as me. If you have been the victim of them please e-mail me and we can fight this together. There are many of us out there as I am finding.

All it takes is to make a account on Trustlink and simply hit "send a message" right from this review. I want to make sure other good people do not fall victim to this scam.

I cannot determine if the RV owners are taking part in the scan or not but 123RVRENTAL will make false allegations to take your security deposit. STAY AWAY!!!

Business's response - by Michelle S.on 12/1/2011
As the owner of the company that also personally rents our family coach, I can tell you that mechanical and electrical items in an rv are not a perfected science. Items in an rv are even more complicated than similar ones in a home and can become faulty for no apparent reason. If items become faulty, our policy is to offer future discounts/credits as I would love each of our customers to return to rent for their future vacations/trips. As for David M’s complaint, it is being reviewed by the owner of the motorhome and an rv technician. 123 RV Rental acts only as a broker so the renter has been asked to work directly with the owners on determining any type of credit or refund. 123 RV Rental was not there for the initial rental walkthrough nor during the vacation, so it is infeasible for 123 RV Rental to be in the middle of this negotiation. From what we have gathered, the rv appliances didn’t work due to the the renter not using a proper 30 amp service connection, instead a typical house electrical outlet was used. The owners took the time to go over this during the initial walk thru of the rv with the renter and again during a phone call that was made to the owners by the renter on the 2nd to the last day of his rental period. David M refuses to work out the challenges he experienced with the rv owners or accept that the issues were caused by using the incorrect electrical connection. The owners are a wonderful family and David M. is simply blasting emails and adding negative reviews in an attempt to get a full refund. Any refund would need to come directly from the rv owners and if David M. refuses to deal with the owners, our hands are tied at 123 RV Rental.
