Be ready to WAIT whenever you schedule an appointment with Lawrence Pet Hospital. This office consistently overbooks their appointments. You will wait to be seen by a vet and then wait again to pay. I can say this after visiting this hospital twice daily for a week (in addition to the 5 other appointments I had in the last month) and I was forced to wait at least 15 minutes for 90% of my appointments. 5 of the appointments had a wait of over 30 minutes just to be put in a room. The pay to wait is just as long. I had two very bad experiences with this office (besides the unreasonably long wait to be seen every time ). A vet tech put a bandage on my cat's leg way too tightly and never mentioned that she did this and it needed to be removed. My cat is fluffy and extremely shy, so when I got her home, she immediately hid. I didn't notice the bandage until ten hours later. The leg was terribly swollen. Fortunately, there didn't seem to be any permanent damage but my 15 year old sick cat was obviously in pain. The vet tech did call the next morning, replying to the message I left and apologized, but she didn't bother to put this info in my cat's chart, inform the vet or anyone else in the office. I know that because the vet called with blood panel results and was unaware of it. When I spoke with the VERY RUDE office manager, Kathleen, she admitted that the vet had informed her. The clincher as to why I will never use this vet again was that a thyroid test was taken and I was supposed to be notified about the results in several days. It has been close to two weeks since I was informed the vet would call me with the results and I still haven't received a call. I even called earlier today and was told they sent the results to the veterinary office I have since switched to. Funny, I checked with that office and they didn't receive complete files on my cats. I do not recommend using this veterinary office.
