I came to possess a 1993 Jaguar XJ6 in January 2011. The body and engine were in great shape but the car had 20-30 problems. I was incredibly leery about trying to find parts for a 20 year old car, but I was determined to restore this car to its glory.
Never having done this before, I began shopping at a variety of firms, including Coventry West, Jaguar Parts Center, and Welsh Enterprises.
I had problems with ordering the wrong part, taking weeks to process a return, and getting qualified advice regarding what part to order. And then I discovered Jagbits. Everything changed.
The website offers live assistance so I could have a dialogue about the problem I was experiencing. And Gary and Dan are thoroughly knowledgeable about the product line so they could quickly guide me through the choices to get me to the right part. I purchased power window switches, power door lock motors, door handle mechanisms, headlamps, a hood bonnet liner, lamp lenses, seat belts, a radio antenna, and even a rear view mirror.
I have to admit that I don't know how well the return process works, because I have never had to return a single part yet. All of the parts, even the used ones, were great quality. The used seat belt showed a hint of discoloration from being used over the years but the color matched my other belts. In contrast, the two tail lamp lenses were brand new and glittered in the sunlight.
And whenever shipping was delayed (which only happened two or three times), I received email or a phone call apologizing for the one day delay. Even with standard shipping, the package sent from California took a maximum of three days to New York.
By the way, the car is running great, purrs to the touch, and always gets plenty of looks as it cruises by.
I've purchased about $2,000 worth of parts with Jagbits and I now ONLY buy my parts through them. They know their product, they're totally professional, and they get it right THE FIRST TIME. What more could anyone want?
