I was impressed by both previous reviews as well as by Nick's pleasant demeanor, so last week I hired Global Auto to ship my SUV from LA to Boston. The car left LA with a "promise" date to arrive in Boston on June 9. Today is June 9 and guess where my car is: Oklahoma City. To make matters worse, they had no idea where the car was because, despite their claims that they use only their own trucks and drivers, they simply take your business and find some shipper to take the car. Then, when something goes wrong, they say "Hey, not our fault." In an email I received today, Nick advises me to rent a car and "seek reimbursement from ABC Auto." All this despite recognition of an email I sent Nick stating that my "drop dead, must have" date was June 9. Nick not only failed to estimate the correct number of days for the transport, but also chose a disreputable and unreliable shipper. He then made verbal promises that he reneged on, all the while promising me that he was "doing his best to rectify the situation." Two-faced, bait-and-switch fraud, in this reviewers opinion. This company has shamefully ruined my entire east coast vacation and I will be suing GAT for fraud and breach of contract, as well as filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the California Department of Consumer Affairs.
THIS IS FREE ADVICE:
Read the other Yelp reviews; you'll see a bunch of 5-stars ad a bunch of 1-stars. Why no 2, 3, or 4-stars? My guess is that all the 5-star reviews are fake and the 1-stars are legit. Save yourself the agony and hire anyone but these guys.
