Don't buy from Gearhead
|
I bought an engine on 10/1/2024 and paid the $720.00 core deposit which you're supposed to get refunded when your engine is returned. They sent a damaged engine after my mechanics had prepped to install it and when they noticed the damage, I had to file a claim, take pics and schedule a return of the damaged engine they sent. They sent me a second engine which was installed, and it runs fine. Both engines were returned over a month ago and due to errors in multiple department there, I've got a runaround for over a month trying to get my core deposit refunded even after they acknowledge receiving the damaged engine and my original engine that I paid the core deposit for to be refunded when returned. Different depts state it's accounting that's causing the delay and you cannot contact accounting, only depts within Gearheads can and it's by email only. I'm still waiting after hearing from several reps for weeks that it will be refunded within a couple days, later today, very soon etc. I wouldn't do business with them ever again if the engine was free, the wasted time on a damaged engine and trying to get refunded "as their website states" for the core deposit, isn't worth it.
